The multifaceted synthesis of the arts of music, song, dance, light art and clowning, mystical and world musical sounds - Dervish Turn Dance
Approx. 30,000 spectators experienced this unique musical work of art by Lex van Someren and the 25 participating artists in 2009 & 2010 and received it with great enthusiasm. In 2011 there was only one performance.
Impressive, novel and touching: "Lex van Someren's Dream Journey" presented a worldwide unprecedented stage and concert experience in autumn 2009. The ensemble around the visionary stage artist Lex van Someren presents a diverse mixture of graceful music, mystical singing, expressive dance and fascinating light art. The clown in his classical role as the "wise fool" provides cheerful points of contrast and thus perfectly rounds off this harmonious synthesis of the arts. The last tour so far took place in 2014.

The focus is on singer and musician Lex van Someren, who composed almost all the musical elements of "Dream Journey" together with his musical partner Frank Steiner. His music, often enriched with mystical set pieces, has its roots in many cultural circles and reaches the hearts of the audience in its harmony and beauty. With his four-octave voice, he allows music and song to merge and creates a unique musical sound experience - an experience in which it is not important to hear or understand song lyrics, but rather to surrender to the intoxication of impressions and allow oneself to be touched on the inside.
Together with his musical director and co-creative partner,Frank Steiner, Lex van Someren receives support from top-class artists. The whirling dervish dancer Shinouda - known to many from the RTL Super Talentshow 2008 -, the percussionist and O-Daiko drummer Nils Tannert and the Mongolian vocal wonder Enkh Jargal are also part of the party. The latter, with his under- and overtone singing as well as the steppe music of his horse-head fiddle, has already been on stage with many internationally famous musicians.
Professional dancers, such as Suna and Anne Brandes, who give aesthetic expression to the mystical and world music sounds, the Armenian cellist Vache Bagratuni, other musicians and the Ayam Choir are also travel companions on the "dream journey". "Lex van Someren's Dream Journey" was performed in 2009/10 in many renowned concert halls, such as Tempodrom in Berlin, Philharmonie in Munich, Wiener Stadthalle, Brucknerhaus in Linz, Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt, Kulturpalast in Dresden and on the festival stage in Bregenz.

The "Dream Journey" creates new impulses for the New Age; sets new standards in and with music and the performing arts.
It sets an example at a time when the world, life and consciousness are rapidly transforming and evolving. "Dream Journey" is an event that does not exist anywhere else in the world. The speciality lies in the fact that the complete ensemble of 45 persons has created with much love and devotion a worldwide new visionary stage event as a total work of art, which touches all senses and in which the inner connection with life and the soul dimension is celebrated. It creates a world of experience for the soul, for the inspiration and inner transformation of people, for all those who are ready to open themselves to it. The "dream journey" has the power to enchant people, to connect them with their innermost being, even if they have never before consciously engaged with such an open form of spirituality.

This vision of creating music and stage art at the highest professional level, which at the same time brings healing into the world and to the people, I have given all my love and energy in recent years. From my point of view we humans need the creative expression in art. Holistic experiences of beauty and connectedness nourish us just like clean water and pure air.
With our music and stage art we would like to awaken a new joy of life for - a life together, instead of against each other - a life carried by love, instead of fear - a life, in which the deepest questions of meaning of existence stand above everything else.
In our project, all my co-artists and co-actors live this dream with me, and that has made it a reality. They and all of us bring this dream, this deepest soul desire within us, to life. Yes, it is possible to be in love and harmony with all people and living beings - a life in which people unfold the gifts of their soul and share them with each other!
Of this I am firmly convinced.

Lex van Someren is one of the first artists in the world to use these revolutionary sound columns in his stage projects.
In the concerts you will experience a new, holistic dimension in which sound and music unfold. Through this spatial sound, you can literally immerse yourself in the music and enjoy a soft, pleasant three-dimensional reproduction that is true to the original. The music thus has an even more relaxing and vitalizing effect.
